Now that the South London & Kent Pool Alliance league season is over, attention turns to the Founders Cup and promotion/relegation play offs.

The first Founders Cup semi final saw the Premier Division's Bellegrove play Eltham Terrace Rovers of the first division.

The gulf in class showed from the off, with Bellegrove taking the first set 5-0, which included a break and dish from both Kevin Smith and George Covington.

Smith went on to win the first frame of the second set before Ryan Francis pulled one back for Rovers.

Tony Halpin won his second frame to give Bellegrove a 7-1 lead.

It wasn't Lee Osborn's night, as after being on the receiving end of a break and dish in the first set, he went in off on the break and Clive Black duly cleared up to give his side the 8-1 victory and book a place in the final.

The other semi final, between Pickwick and Eltham Terrace Club A was a much closer affair.

The hard fought match ended up going the distance, with Pickwick's Captain Paul Slater holding his nerve to win the final frame, giving his side the 8-7 victory and a place in next week's final against Bellegrove.

George Hammond was in great form, winning all three of his frames, which included a break and dish in the eleventh frame and Gary Dixon only missed out on his hat trick through an outrageous fluke.

The play off for a place in SLKPA Division One was equally as close and tense, with neither side ever being more than one frame in front.

Royal Oak Addicks, from Division One, played Division Two's Plumstead Radical Club Rebels and they took the first set 3-2 but Rebels won the second set by the same score, to tie the match.

A thorn in Rebels side all night was Mick Gormley and he put the Addicks ahead with his third frame win.

Jack Wilson and Jon Syta put Rebels ahead again, by 7 frames to 6 and it looked like Leighton Aston was going to clinch victory but the cue ball dropped after potting the black to send the match into a final frame decider.

There was another final frame Captain's performance, this time from Rebels Trevor Biggs, to give them the 8-7 win and promotion.

North Heath Social Club from the Premiership faced the first division's Fox and Hounds in the play off for a place in the Premier Division and it was the lower division side who took a 3-2 lead.

The Premier Division side fought back in the second set, taking it 4-1 for a 6-4 lead going into the final set.

Kerry and Tom Wyatt started the last set for Fox, with Kerry losing and Tom winning before Akar Necati won the not so unlucky thirteenth frame to give North Heath the 8-5 victory.

Captain Dave Selby was the only unbeaten player, winning both his frames to help keep his team's place in the top division.
