Newstead Wood School competed in the London Zone National Table Tennis Championships at East London University.
Newstead Wood competed against top level players from the London area in both the Under 13 event and the under 16 event.
The under 13 team came 2nd in the competition and have now qualified for the South England Schools event in March representing London Schools.
The Under 16 team narrowly missed out on qualifying as they came 3rd in the competition.
Head of PE, Dinah Shue said: "I am incredibly proud of the students who competed for our school. They have improved so much over the past couple of years and are now competing against the best players in the country. Since working with table tennis coach Shu Huang I have been very impressed with the standard of which our girls are playing, and I am looking forward to seeing them compete in the next round."
