Sidcup boxer Billy Saunders reckons fight fans could see the best of him and his cousin next week.

The 26-year-old continues his comeback at the Camden Centre on November 28 and the following night, cousin Billy-Joe Saunders meets Chris Eubank junior in one of the year’s most hotly-anticipated fights.

Beating Eubank would secure a crack at the WBO middleweight title for Billy-Joe and his cousin is also hoping for big fights in the coming months.

Billy has posted back-to-back wins since launching his comeback this year and feels there is plenty more to come from him.

He said: “I haven’t shown what I’m capable of yet.

“I was out of the ring for seven years and it hasn’t been easy. I lost a lot of weight and wasn’t really sure what I had in the tank for my first comeback fight.”

He added: “I haven’t really found my rhythm yet.

“I’ve been doing just enough to win and haven’t really boxed to my potential yet.

“Sparring has been going great.

“I’ve been trying things out and I’m hoping to show people what I’m capable of in my next two fights.

“There’s a lot more to come from me yet.”

Billy hopes to box twice more by the end of 2014 before a big year for his fighting family in 2015.

“I saw Billy-Joe the other day and I’ve never seen him so fit,” he said.

“He didn’t have to take this fight, but he really wants to beat Eubank jr up.

“I’ve got ringside tickets and I’m pretty sure I’m going to Billy-Joe beat him on points.”
