Westcombe Park bowled over visitors Barnes with a dazzling first half display, running in four tries with only a solitary Tom Hupfield penalty in reply.

The Orpington side were 26-3 up at the interval after dazzling the opposition with incisive running and good support play, all performed at pace.

Scrum half Gideon Roux was over for two tries, Casey Stone for his first and Tom Gray again was on the score sheet.

Joe Simpson slotted three conversions.

At the turn around perhaps Combe could not sustain such momentum, or Barnes had rallied and stiffened their defence, as the scoring spree stalled.

But either way Westcombe Parke would still add two more tries, a third for Roux, a second for Stone and one more conversion for Simpson.

Combe’s outsides were busy also with their defensive duties and all Barnes could muster was a forwards’ try by Simon Givens from a lineout drive with Hupfield adding the extras.

It was little consolation as by now Combe were well clear to finish with their sixth bonus point win in six games .

This weekend Combe travel to local rivals Gravesend.
