Having won the coveted Kent Pearson Trophy at Royal Cinque Ports in Deal, Sidcup Ladies then went on to win the prestigious Four Counties Final at Muswell Hill Golf Club.

On a wet summer day at Royal Cinque Ports, Sidcup beat Nizels Golf Club in the morning and Hever Golf Club in the afternoon.

The Trophy was theirs and they now had the task of representing Kent against Middlesex, Surrey, and Hertfordshire.

Although their morning match against the host county Middlesex was played and won 4-3.

The afternoon against Hertfordshire saw a big change in the weather which was awful.

Heavy rain and fearful thunder claps lasted throughout the match.

The ladies went on to win 5-2 and the huge Silver Salver trophy was proudly taken back to Sidcup Golf Club where the celebrations continued.
