Ten weeks into the South London & Kent Pool Alliance summer season and the last unbeaten record has gone as Eltham Terrace Rack Pack beat Eltham Terrace Rovers in Tier Two West.

The top two teams in the division faced each other and the match looked to be going to form as Rovers took the first set 4-1 but Rack Pack fought back and won the second set by the same score.

With the match all square, Chris Gaunt won the first frame of the final set for Rack Pack, on his return to the league but Lee Osborn tied the match again with a great clearance against Alex Thompson.

Tony Frost and Ernie Wellhausen won the next two frames to give Rack Pack the win before Ryan Francis won the final frame, for his three out of three, which included a '7-baller' in the first set, to make the final score 2-1 and 8-7.

Despite the loss Rovers are still eleven points clear at the top of the table.

The battle for second place is a lot closer as Pickwick Academicals are only two points behind Rack Pack after beating Lord Clyde 2-1 and 9-6.

Lord Clyde were 6-1 up but Academicals won the last eight frames for the match but it was a lot closer than the score suggests as a lot of the frames could have gone either way.

Academicals Dean Williams won both of his frames and Jason Levingbird was denied his hat trick by an amazing clearance from Ed Green.

Fighting it out at the bottom are O'Dowds A and Royal Oak Addicks and the points were shared as O'Dowds won 2-1 in sets but the Addicks won 9-6 in frames.

O'Dowds won the first set 3-2 but were whitewashed in the second set 5-0 before winning the final set 3-2.

Addicks, Colin Smith was the only unbeaten player on the night, winning all three of his frames.

In the SLKPA Elite League O'Connors returned to winning ways with a 3-0 and 10-5 victory over Rileys Rebels to go seven points clear at the top.

The sets were won 3-2, 4-1 and 3-2 but Paul Elford gave Rebels something to cheer about by winning both his frames.

Leighton Aston must have wished he hadn't turned up as he lost all three of his frames but only had two shots in total.

This loss and Foots Cray Social Club Rugrats win over North Heath Social Club puts Rebels back in the relegation zone.

Despite the 3-0 and 9-6 score line the match was a lot closer as each set was won 3-2 and went to a decider.

Rugrats Captain, Scott Shephard won all three of his frames, including the decider in the first two sets and Adam Hewson also won his three frames which included the decider in the last set.

Royal Oak lift themselves off the bottom of the table, despite losing 2-1 and 10-5 against Eltham Terrace Club A.

Eltham Terrace won the first set 3-2 but Royal Oak tied the match by taking the second set with the same score, however the final set was not so close with Eltham Terrace recording a 5-0 whitewash.

Royal Oak Captain Paul Clements won two of his three frames but Dan Foley and Stephen Pearce of Eltham Terrace went one better by winning all three frames.

Glenmore Arms A are winning the battle for second place in SLKPA Tier Two East after beating third placed team Eltham Terrace Nuthouse by 2 sets to 1 and 8 frames to 7.

Glenmore won the first set 3-2, with Dean Coppen securing the set for them.

They went on to win the first two frames of the second set, which included a break and dish by Paul Thomas but Nuthouse tied the set with Craig Jones taking his second frame and Julie Lancaster winning her only frame.

James Grant went on to win the final frame of the set to give Glenmore a 2-0 and 6-4 lead.

Nuthouse brought it back to six all by winning the first  two frames of the final set but Grant put Glenmore one in front again before Jones won his third frame of the night to take the set and tie the match at 7 all.

In the final frame Ben McIntosh was looking to get his own back on Thomas, who broke and dished him earlier but it was Thomas who produced a great clearance to win his third frame and his team the match.

Glenmore are now four points ahead of Nuthouse and only three behind O'Dowds Flyers at the top after they beat bottom team White Hart, 3-0 and 11-4.

White Hart were struggling from the start as they only had four players and they lost the first set 5-0 but they came close in the last two sets, only losing them by the odd frame, 3-2.

Alex Dobbins was the inspiration behind the victory, winning all three of his frames and he was backed up by Keith Smith and Jon Syta who both scored a pair.

Bellegrove Social Club B and Glenmore Arms II swap places after Bellegrove's 2-1 and 10-5 victory.

After Glenmore won the first set, Bellegrove had to win the next two to go above their opponents and they did just that, taking both sets 4-1, to equal Glenmore on points but go ahead, having won one more game.

Bellegrove Captain, John Skuza led by example, winning the frame that sealed the win, while Terry Mitchell and Martin Hession both scored three out of three in a great game that was played in good spirit.
