GYMNASTICS: A team from Ladywell Gymnastics Club headed to Deventer in Holland to participate in the annual FAME SVOD women’s artistic international competition aginst representatives from 11 different countries.
In the Youth A Category, 11-year-old Ella Ross-Jessop came second overall, as well as enjoying third place finishes in the individual apparatus final on the vault and floor.
Georgia Benham, 12, was third in the youth B category, with twin sister Isabel placing fifth.
Nicole Vieira, 12, achieved second place in the team catergory, while fellow 12-year-olds Jodi Grace and Evie Smithers competed well with Grace qualifying for the floor finals.
KICKBOXING: A member of Star Kickboxing academy in Gravesend has added another belt to his growing collection.
Bobby Garland defeated his opponent in Yeovil during a tough four-round fight, a success which saw him crowned the south eastern TFC welterweight champion.
CRICKET: Bromley District will be chasing double glory in the county finals this weekend at Ashford Town CC.
The U12s and U14s will both face Medway in their respective finals on Sunday, with the first game scheduled to commence at 10.30am.
