OLD Colfeians had an outstanding win over high-flying Deal & Betteshanger in their London & SE Division Two encounter at Horn Park.
The visitors had been leading the division having won all their previous league matches, but were stunned by the intensity of the OCs’ play, both in attack and defence.
This was particularly noticeable in the second half, when the home side successfully defended their narrow lead in the face of a fierce wind blowing straight down the pitch.
The result knocked Deal off the top spot and moved OCs up towards the middle of the table.
Colfeians’ scorers were Alex Gallagher and Ben Westhead with a try apiece, and Jack Potter with a penalty and a conversion.
