BEXLEY District young adult ladies cricket team took on Streatham and Marlborough CC ladies in an indoor cricket match at Harris Academy, Falconwood on Saturday.
Batting first Bexley recorded 356 and restricted the visitors to 252, resulting in a 104-run victory for the hosts whose players came from the Bexley CC and Sidcup CC girls sections.
The Bexley District team are likely to make up the bulk of the new Bexley women’s second XI for the 2013 outdoor season.
They have entered the national league third division.
