THE second races in the Kent cross country league took place at Somerhill School, Tonbridge, on what was a very tough, hilly and muddy course.

In the U13 girls’ race Dartford Harriers had half a dozen athletes running and Holly Page followed up her victory at Swanley with a more comfortable win here.

She was well supported again by Chloe Sharp in ninth and Jessica Sellar in 14th.

The six were completed by Rebecca Burford 31st, Sophie Glanford 40th and Jasmine Anderson 46th, as Harriers finished third overall on the day.

Three U13 boys competed with Jamie Green 40th, Kian Ward 43rd and Jack Horsham 45th in what was a large field.

Callum Ward had another good run coming in sixth in the U15 boys race and he was followed home by Lewis Calets in 12th and Luke Saheed 33rd.

Dartford Harriers were fourth overall in the team competition.

Cassie Benson was Dartford’s only competitor in the U17 women’s race finishing 12th with a consistently run race.

Rebecca Wilby was fourth in the U20 women’s event in a small field.

In the U17 men’s race Alex Cameron finished 25th and Michael Jarvis was 38th in another large field.

Cara Oliver led the Harriers home in 23rd in the senior women’s race with Lynne Morgan 41st, Hayley Hickmott 63rd and Steph Wood in 78th.

The ladies were 11th team on the day.

There was another good turnout in the senior men’s race for Dartford with Nick Wood first man home in 15th.

The team of four was completed by Chris Biddle 49th, Craig Sharp 51st and Tony Durey 57th.

Other results were Stuart Waterman 67th, Frank Hudson 75th, Reuben Burford 87th, Lee Capon 129th, Jason Browne 137th and Bob Coombes 167th.

The men’s team were sixth overall on the day.
