A PAIR of England cricket stars will be coaching kids at a half-term training course at Bexley Grammar School next week.

Lydia Greenway and Charlotte Edwards, who both represent Kent and England, both took part at the recent cricket world cup, will be passing on tips to youngsters from October 29 to October 31 between 10am and 3pm.

Kent Cricket Board are also offering a workshop to volunteers wishing to support the development of girls’ cricket.

This is open to anyone in Kent and is designed for all coaches, teachers, parents and volunteers to gain or further their cricketing knowledge on October 31.

Kent girls’ cricket development officer Natasha Newman said: “As a county, we have one of the greatest opportunities to enhance the participation and publicity of women’s and girls’ cricket by having two fantastic role models in Charlotte and Lydia supporting the October girls’ camp.

“What better way to develop as a young cricketer?’”
