Former Chelsea Academy star Adam Coombes has sealed a move to Bromley.

The 24-year-old graduated through the Premier League giant’s academy after being scouted while playing for his local club.

A string of injuries and the highly-competitive nature of life at Stamford Bridge ensured Coombes failed to make an appearance during his three-year stint at the club.

In 2013 the striker moved to Notts County and scored a memorable goal against Liverpool at Anfield in the League Cup to send the match to extra time.

National League outfit Bromley have today announced a deal for Coombes – manager Mark Goldberg said: “We needed to fill the gap out wide with the departure of Anthony Cook and the injuries to Louis Dennis and Pierre Joseph-Dubois so I’m delighted to welcome Adam to the club.

“Adam has been training with us recently and like Pierre and Louis has played both as a striker and a winger for his previous clubs Chelsea and Notts County.”

Coombes is eligible for selection for tomorrow's match against Tranmere Rovers at Hayes Lane.
