OUR season couldn't have finished any harder having to make trips north to two play-off contenders in Morecambe and Halifax.

In both corresponding fixtures at home we gathered maximum points but alas we came home empty handed.

The Morecambe trip was always going to be one of the toughest places to go and I fancy them to make the football league.

When we went to Halifax, who were as physical as Morecambe, we competed much better although still lost.

For some reason our injuries have not let up and for a club of our resources it will always affect us. Since January I have had around eight players unavailable and I believe has been crucial in our poor form.

On a positive note it has opened the door for the young lads and they've gained experience they would never get in reserve fixtures.

I'd like thank all my players and staff for their efforts and support this season, also the chairman and his directors for their efforts.

Lastly I'd like to thank all of you fans for all your support throughout the year, it has had its highs and lows yet you have continued to back us, I greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

This season has been the first year partially full time and has been difficult but I know everyone has learnt something which will be invaluable for coming years as I know there are exciting times ahead.
