Lordswood 0 v 0 Slade Green
Kentish Observer Kent League
SLADE Green and their opponents Lordswood have drawn half their games so far this season so it was no surprise this clash ended all square.
Amazingly both teams did have the ball in the net. First off, Slade's Tony Weir saw his close range effort ruled out for offside on 73 minutes.
But Lordswood's Andy Forster will be the most upset after he was fouled by Lee Morgan just as he was about to shoot.
The referee duly awarded a free-kick on the edge of the area but Forster's shot had already bulged Slade's net off the post.
Slade will take some comfort from the return of Lee Barber who has recovered from a nose break suffered last month.
Slade Green: Vines; Lewis; Robinson; Morgan; Penny; Barber (Bond); Malyon; Bradley (Elliott); McTaggart; Weir; Browning (Little).
