A miserable afternoon for Dartford was capped by striker Tostao Kwashi's late dismissal for two reckless challenges.

By then Darts were already 4-1 down against Redbridge, who rubbed salt into Dartford wounds when they added a fifth goal in stoppage time.

Yet the game had begun brightly for Darts against their counterparts from Redbridge, known as the Motormen.

The visitors dominated the opening ten minutes of the match, and deservedly took the lead in the 11th minute through frontman Eddie McClements, who is currently enjoying a rich vein of goal-scoring form.

Jim Carter's initial shot was well blocked by Richard Halle, but McClements reacted quickest as he pounced on the rebound to give his side the lead.

But thereafter it was all one-way traffic, as the Motormen piled the pressure on Dartford's goal.

They got their reward in the 18th minute when Jay Murray beat Dartford keeper Jimmy Simpson with a looping header.

Simpson was beaten again five minutes later, this time by Helder Valdez, and after half an hour Redbridge went two ahead through Petrit Elbi. The other goals were scored by Julian Edwards and Halle.

Next Saturday the Darts return to Southern League Eastern Division action when they play Fisher Athletic at Stonebridge Road, kick off 3pm, ahead of Tuesday's short trip to Chatham Town.
