THE President’s Cup final at the Fleet Leisure ground produced a clash between the top two teams in the Premier Division, Craggs Farm and The Old Prince of Orange.

Craggs Farm took an early lead when Elijah Eastwood ran on to a though ball and coolly slotted past Richard Miles in the Orange goal.

Some good work by Tony Swann on the right enabled him to pick out Eastwood unmarked in the area just before the break and he made no mistake from 10 yards to give Craggs a 2-0 lead.

Chances for both teams were few and far between in the second half, with both defences playing well.

Prince did not quite find their league form and were unable to create any clear cut chances before 10 minutes from time when Tom Crowther cut in from the right, only to see his superb left strike cannon back off the post.

With Orange pushing forward, gaps were beginning to appear in their defence.

The crowd were treated to the goal of the season two minutes from time when Eastwood when the ball dropped to him 25 yards from goal and in a blink of an eye, his excellent left foot volley sailed in the net to complete his hat-trick.

This entertaining encounter was a credit to the Gravesend Football League and was well refereed by Chris Howarth.

League President, Roger Bowen presented his cup to man of the match Eastwood of Craggs Farm afterwards and the celebrations began in earnest.
