Holmesdale entertained Erith and Belvedere in the final match of the 2008/2009 season coming off the back of two draws against Herne Bay and close rivals Hythe Town.
The match against Hythe had seen Holmesdale suffer the blow of losing their skipper and goal keeper, Danny Harwood, who was stretchered from the field after half an hours play.
Erith and Belvedere were to take the three points on the day with a 0-2 win through goals from Deane and Hockey.
With VCD Athletic, Hythe Town, Greenwich Borough and Faversham Town all winning their matches Holmesdale end the season in fifth place.
