BROMLEY manager Mark Goldberg has claimed the recent recruits have played a key role in creating a winning formula at Hayes Lane.

The Lillywhites have now gone five games unbeaten, including the recent 3-0 demolition of Fisher Athletic last weekend and Goldberg has admitted it is no coincidence.

He said: “I totally believe that there has been an impact through the new players we have recruited.

“It takes a little time and throughout the season we have adapted to the new players coming in and other players going.

“Sometimes getting the formula right takes a bit of tinkering and I feel we are now in a position that the group of players we have got are getting used to each other and the formation and system has started to click in place.

“They have certainly had a positive impact on the overall squad and we are now just gaining a little bit of momentum.

“The fact we have got more strength and depth to the squad is always going to be helpful.”

Goldberg also admitted despite being happy with his squad for the time being, he wouldn’t be surprised if he again added to it.

The manager added: “As I said before, if we do bring players in then we have to let other players go.

“At this moment in time we have a squad which can continue our run and if things change then we might well be looking to tweak it a little before the end of the season. “It is typical for any team to think just when they have things right, they realise they need to make changes.

“At this moment in time I am comfortable with the squad, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was to be one or two changes before the end of the season.

“I have nothing in mind at the moment but just when you think you are capable of going on a run, you lose something else and so we will see how we go.”

Bromley will be without Arron Fray and Mark Corneille because of hamstring injuries for the visit of Braintree Town at the weekend but the manager is confident the duo will be back in action soon.

Another win at home could see the Lillywhites keep alive their outside hopes of a play-off place, but Goldberg has conceded a push for promotion may be unrealistic this season for his young team.

He added: “I think while it is mathematically possible then we will try as hard as we can to achieve a play-off position.

“However, realistically I am aware it is going to be difficult for us and we would like to finish as high as we can.

“This is a young squad and what I will be doing is building the infrastructure for next year.”
