HOLMESDALE fought back from three goals down to earn a point against Tunbridge Wells.

The first meeting back in November ended 1-0 with the three points going to The Wells at The Culverden Stadium.

Last night Holmesdale got back in a game which looked almost over at half time.

The visitors started the game positively and stronger, and were 2-0 up through a quick brace from Coleman with goals on 10 and 13 minutes.

Holmesdale had all to do as Barton then found the net for Wells eight minutes before the break.

Any neutrals would have written the game off at half time but Holmesdale fought back and were the stronger side in the second half and grabbed an early goal from Tom McQuade in the 46th minute. This goal lifted the team spirit and got Holmesdale back into the game.

Late in the half Joel Greaves scored a quick brace (70th, 79th minutes) to bring Holmesdale on level terms and earn them a point.

Holmesdale are now three points behind leaders Hythe Town, so will be looking for a strong performance at the weekend when they entertain VCD Athletic at home.
