SIMON Osborn was delighted with new signing Omari Coleman's perfect debut against former club Welling on Saturday.

Coleman was picked up on a free transfer by Osborn in the week and repaid his faith in him with two goals for Bromley against the club who had just released him.

The Bromley player-manager said: "Omari's a big part of our future plans for the club because he offers us a different dimension to the squad.

"We managed to persuade him to come to Bromley and he has made an instant impact with the two goals.

"He's our fourth striker now and this gives me some selection problems, but these problems are positive ones for me and the club."

Bromley have home advantage again when they take on Hendon in the London Senior Cup semi-final this evening and Osborn is taking the game very seriously.

He added: "We haven't got the biggest of squads, so rotation isn't an option for us.

"It's an opportunity to get into a final and the management and players are going there with the mindset to win."

After tonight's game, the Lillywhites face tough competition from Bishop's Stortford at the weekend in the league and the player-manager believes Bromley are still in contention for a finish in the play-off places.

Osborn explained: "It's going to be a difficult game travelling to Stortford, but we're confident we can get three points.

"There's still plenty of points to be picked up and we're hoping the teams around us drop points between now and the end of the season so we can push for a top five finish "We've won our last four home games and if we can continue these strong performances, then we'll be a match for any team."

Osborn went on to explain how he's juggling the team on and off the pitch in his player-manager role since his appointment in January.

He said: "I have a good team around me, so when I'm on the pitch I'm more than confident leaving the decisions down to them.

"I'm not getting any younger so I'm not sure how much longer I'll be on the pitch.

"My players are more than capable of picking up results, so swapping the pitch for the dugout won't be an issue for me."
