Cray Wanderers 4 Chatham Town 1, Ryman Division One South, Wednesday 2.1.08, Cray began the new year 2008 with a good win against Chatham Town to cement their third place in the table and extend their unbeaten run to twelve games.
Ryan Royston and Michael Power gave the Wands a 2-0 lead at the interval, with goals in the 4th and 25th minute.
Lewis Wood netted Cray's third in the 56th minute.
Chatham pulled back a goal and had some pressure when Cray were reduced to ten men after Wood went off injured but had already used all their substitutes.
In the 86th minute Chatham were also reduced to ten men when a defender was sent off for a foul on George Fenwick.
Colin Luckett lashed home the free-kick to wrap up victory for Cray by 4-1.
Cray are next in action at home to Leatherhead on Saturday 5th January (3pm).
