Ali Fuseini has linked up once again with former manager Mark Goldberg at Welling United from fellow National League South club Margate.

The former Millwall midfielder has signed a one-year contract with the Kent club, who suffered relegation from the National League last season.

Fuseini has achieved promotion twice in his career before, once with Goldberg from this division with Bromley.

“The opportunity to work again with Mark was difficult to turn down and I’m excited to link up together again,” he said.

“I’ve made a lot of appearances for the manager at Bromley so he knows exactly what he’s getting from me as a player as I know what to expect from him as a manager and also off the pitch.

“I know the club well having come up against them several times over the years and hopefully we can have good success and I can score a few goals to help us achieve our targets.”

The 27-year-old midfielder also spoke on his departure from Margate.

“I want to place on record my thanks to everyone at Margate for my time at the club, even if it was a shorter stay than expected,” Fuseini added.

“The management, fans and volunteers were great to work with.

“I have no doubt manager Nikki Bull will bring success to the club with the great group of players. I’m very proud to have played and put on the Margate shirt. I wish them the best of luck for the rest of the season.”
