The Wands returned to winning ways as they turned around a half time deficit against lowly Redbridge.  In a game severely affected by the wind, the home side led at the break but Cray with the better attacking conditions in the second half turned the game around.

Redbridge had the better of the first half and took the lead in the 26th minute when Charlie Portway scored from close range after a fumble by Cray keeper, Nick Blue

Cray’s best chance of the opening half fell to James Duckworth but was denied by a good save from Calum Chafer.

The Wands dominated the second half and levelled in the 56th minute through an excellent finish from Ben Hunt from Duckworth’s pass.

Three minutes later Cray were in front when Duckworth rifled home a fine cross shot which went in off a post.

Against the run of play, Redbridge levelled in the 63rd minute when lively Reside Coxi-Sebastfao squeezed a shot into the net to make it 2-2.

Cray restored their lead in the 77th minute with a superb free kick strike from Duckworth who curled in a tremendous shot into the top right hand corner giving Chafer no chance.

The Wands sealed the points in the 82nd minute when Duckworth played through Hunt who strode on and rolled home a composed finish for his second of the game.
