Cray maintained a five point lead at the top of the Isthmian League North following a hard earned draw at Harlow Town in an excellent contest.

The Wands got off to a great start when they took the lead after just three minutes.  A corner from Grant Basey was headed home by the unmarked Uche Ibemere.

Both teams looked good going forward and Harlow levelled in the 17th minute when again from a corner that was flicked on, Leon Antoine stooped to head home.

There were opportunities at both ends before half time with Alex Read going close for Harlow and on half time Nathan Fox headed wide for Cray from another Basey corner.

The second half saw opportunities at both ends with the two keepers making good saves.  Home keeper, Niklas Freund did well to save efforts from Onome Sodje and Ibemere whilst Leigh Bremner came close with long range strikes.  Nick Blue in goal for Cray made three superb saves from Ryan Melaugh, Shane Stamp and Junior Dadson.

Cray came closest to winning the game in the last quarter and James Duckworth came close to snatching three points in injury time but his great strike just cleared the crossbar.
