Bromley extended their winning run to six games at Hayes Lane on Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Chester.

Two goals from the in-form Moses Emmanuel and another from Louis Dennis – his third goal in three games – all came in the first half.

The visitors dominated possession but a combination of poor finishing and several important saves from Bromley’s loanee goalkeeper Chris Kettings was their downfall.

Bromley opened the scoring in the 19th minute when Moses Emmanuel curled a delightful shot out of the reach of Jon Worsnop and into the corner of the net.

Dennis missed a chance to increase the lead minutes later, being robbed by a defender as he broke into the danger zone, before Ross Hannah blazed over the crossbar at the other end from six yards.

Bromley’s second goal came on 29 minutes when Joe Anderson’s precise ball over the top saw Dennis time his run to perfection, before drawing Worsnop and slipping the ball home.

Chester responded with a wild shot from Tom Shaw, before Ian Sharp’s header shaved the bar; whilst Craig Mahon was denied by a smart block by Kettings.

The Bromley goalkeeper did well to push Mahon’s point blank header, and then block his rebound before the ball was eventually scrambled away.

With the fourth official indicating two minutes of added time, Bromley scored their third goal of the afternoon.

Emmanuel fastened onto a bouncing ball into the area, edged away from his marker, before brilliantly volleying home across the goalkeeper into the net.

The second half was a drab affair with much of the play played out in and around the Bromley eighteen yard box, as the hosts found it difficult to clear their lines.

Max Porter saw his shot blocked in an isolated Bromley attack, before Kettings kept the three goal margin intact with two good saves.

Firstly diving bravely at the feet of John Rooney, and secondly denying Tom Shaw with a point black save.

Emmanuel might have had his hat trick in the dying minutes, when his powerful shot was deflected wide following Fuseini’s free kick.

Bromley have now moved into fourth position in the National League with this victory.
