Cray’s excellent run of form continued as the Wands made it seven straight wins following victory at Brightlingsea Regent.

The Wands played the second half with ten men after Chris Piper’s dismissal before half time.

Brightlingsea went ahead on 18 minutes when Phil Kelly’s effort on goal was half hit but took a bounce off the pitch which took the ball under Luke Colquhoun and into the net.

Cray levelled two minutes later.

Piper’s corner was played into the box and Alex Teniola responded to fire home his third goal in three games.

Cray took the lead on 34 minutes when Carl Rook set up Teniola who turned and crashed in a spectacular shot high into the top corner of the net.

Three minutes later, Piper who was booked a few moments before was sent off for a mistimed tackle in midfield.

Cray scored their third after some excellent play from Cesc Fakinos who played the ball across to Adrian Stone who took the ball around the keeper and calmly slotted the ball home.

With the game entering stoppage Tom Bolarinwa was brought down and Fakinos despatched the spot-kick for his first goal of the season.

Four minutes into stoppage time Brightlingsea pulled a goal back from a 25-yard free-kick from Jake Gordon.
