Cray Wanderers FC have confirmed that Tommy Warrilow will take over as first team manager from Monday 5th January until the end of the season. Tommy was previously manager of Tonbridge Angels for seven seasons and gained promotion to the Conference South with the Angels in 2010-11.
Tommy played 5 games for Cray Wanderers during the 1997-98 season scoring twice.
Chairman Gary Hillman said "It's obvious that something had to be done to give us a chance to stay up this season. Tommy is vastly experienced and used to working at a higher level and we are very pleased that he has joined us to try and kick start our season.
We have got in to a losing mentality lately and I don't think Gary Abbott stood a chance getting out of this because of that and we needed to freshen things up and get a positive attitude around the club "
The Wands are currently 23rd in the Ryman League Division One North table.
