The Wands suffered a disappointing evening as Redbridge ran out comfortable winners in a physical encounter at Hayes Lane.

Cray played good football early on and came close to scoring when Kerry Kedze who whipped in a fine cross and the ball was met by the head of Adrian Stone and the ball went just wide of the post. 

Then completely out of the blue, on 14 minutes Redbridge took the lead. 

Shane Wallace picked up a loose ball outside the box and hit a fine shot into the net.

Redbridge went two up in first half stoppage time when Vinny Murphy struck a superb free kick from 30 yards which flew into the net. 

Cray pulled a goal back just on 59 minutes when a fine free kick played in by Cesc Fakinos to the back post was turned in at close range by Max Fitzgerald.

However, Cray were to concede again basically straight from the kickoff, when Brian Moses laid the ball played to Wallace struck with a lovely composed finish.

Cray were reduced to ten men on 64 minutes when Fitzgerald was sent off following a tackle just inside the Redbridge half and was awarded a straight red card.

Redbridge were awarded a penalty on 72 minutes when Moses was brought down by Steve Springett.  Mike Nougher slotted the ball home to finish the contest.
