CRAY WANDERERS vs CHESHUNT
Ryman League Division One North: 16/9/14
Cray Wanderers 1
Hamici 90+1
Cheshunt 4
Fagbohun 9,
Bolle 49, Bossmen 72, Tajakhsh 85
The Wands suffered a disappointing home defeat to a fairly rampant Cheshunt side in what turned out to be Keith Bird’s last match in charge of Cray.
Cheshunt started the game the better side took the lead on 9 minutes when Bossmen’s pace took him out wide and his cross was turned home by Joshua Fagbohun.
Cray were unlucky not to level the scores when after a good piece of skill from Hamici took him 20 yards from goal and his fine strike hit the post and out.
The second half was mostly one way traffic and Cheshunt didn’t take long to add to their lead. A neat build up led to Adam Bolle striding through and he hit a nice finish past Behcet on 49 minutes.
Cheshunt scored their third goal on 72 minutes when Bossmen scored the goal his performance deserved when he rifled home a return pass from Bolle.
Cray were very much second best after that and Cheshunt went 4-0 up with a great strike from Aryan Tajakhsh from 25 yards.
Cray netted in stoppage time when Laurent Hamici hit a cracking finish from just inside the box into the top corner of the net for a consolation goal.
