Cray advanced to the first qualifying round of the FA Cup after overcoming a determined Molesey 3-1 side.
The Wands took the lead after six minutes when Ishmael Welsh’s cross was knocked back to Ian Daly who tapped in from 2 yards out.
Molesey’s were reduced to ten men on the half hour when Marlon Rodney was sent off for a rash challenge on Gary Beckett.
Cray went two up six minutes before half time with another fine goal by Daly.
He took Cesc Fakinos’ ball and bent in a shot from 20 yards which took a slight deflection before hitting the back of the net.
Molesey had a chance to get back into the game three minutes into the second half when Moses Spencer was adjudged to have been pushed in the box and the referee awarded a penalty.
Matt Baxter’s struck quite an edgy penalty which Darren Behcet saved comfortably.
Cray made sure of the win seven minutes from time when Adrian Stone scored the goal his performance deserved when he struck an instinctive finish just inside the box.
Molesey pulled a goal back five minutes from time when Tom Windsor’s fine ball fell to James McShane who tucked his chance away well.
