EVERY year, the FA Cup final is a must-watch, even if Millwall did fall just short of a trip to Wembley. News Shopper punted round to find the best pubs in the area to see the game (Saturday, May 11, kick-off 3.15pm). Where will you be watching it? Let us know below.

And if you don't want to watch the game, click here to see our pick of what else is happening on Saturday.

The Marquis of Granby, New Cross Road, New Cross

A tip off from staff at Shopper towers says this is always a good bet for watching football. Though the atmosphere won’t be quite the same as it would have been had things gone differently a few weeks ago at Wigan, this Irish bar is bound to be buzzing with locals and enthusiastic students from nearby Goldsmiths.

The Lost Hour, Greenwich High Road, Greenwich

You’ll be more than happy to lose an hour (and a half) in this refined bar. There are plenty of screens for easy viewing, so there’ll be no craning of the neck. Try one of the alternative drinks – like the glitter bomb shot – to feel like a millionaire Man City star. This one came recommended by South east London Campaign for Real Ale, so it should be good for a proper pint too.

The Paper Moon, High Street, Dartford

A convivial atmosphere – I was in there 30 seconds before a stranger struck up conversation – and reliable ‘spoons value are only part of the equation. The Paper Moon has plenty of room to stand or sit near the TV and you’re bang in the middle of town, which is perfect for the post-match takeaway. Free wifi, a slot machine and a quiz box mean you’ll be entertained even if the match is a snoozefest.

The Portrait, Main Road, Sidcup

Another good town centre location and another friendly pub. Chirpy locals and staff are up for a bit of banter and the myriad of TV screens means you can stand by the bar or sit in a booth at the back and still have a great view. Bar snacks and cheap meals aplenty, so you won’t go hungry if it gets to penalties.

The Partridge, High Street, Bromley

A traditional pub in a converted bank, The Partridge rated highly with Pubspy last year though that was largely down to a cute dog. But it is very welcoming, with friendly staff and a slightly older and less rowdy clientele.
