ANDY Ford is hoping Welling can continue their recovery when they face relegation rivals St Albans at Park View Road on Saturday.
Both sides go into Saturday's six-pointer bang in form with the Wings having collected 12 points from the last 15 and St Albans amassing an impressive 16 points from 18 available.
Ford's side have a three-point advantage over their Hertfordshire rivals in the table and the Wings boss will be looking for this margin to be maintained at the very least.
He said: "If we lose then they will be back level with us, so either a draw or win will keep or even improve the advantage we have on them at the moment.
"St Albans have done very well recently and will come here feeling confident, but we've picked up some useful results lately and have nothing to fear."
The latest success came in last weekend's 1-0 win at Maidenhead, a result which lifted Welling five points clear of the Berkshire outfit, who now occupy the final relegation place.

Maidenhead's 2-1 defeat at Dorchester last night gave a further boost to Welling's hopes of retaining their Blue South Square status and although Ford conceded the performance last Saturday wasn't the best, the win could prove crucial.
He explained: "It wasn't the best game you will ever see, but we scored a good goal and got the points.
"They gave us a few jittery moments in the final 20 minutes but we held on to collect a crucial three points against one of our rivals.
"To be honest, the performances aren't really the be all and end all in our position and the result could make a big difference at the end of the season."
Welling will be without Dan Nwanze for the St Albans game as he serves the first of a two-game suspension.
Ford also revealed there is a major question mark as to whether recent signing Tony Boot will feature at all this season with the striker still struggling to shake off the injury which has blighted his brief stay at the club.
"We will have to wait and see, but he is definitely going to be out for two or three weeks and there is only a month of the season to go," added the manager.
