KEMNAL Techology colege's Year 9 football team have capped a memorable year by lifting the Kent Cup.
The Sidcup boys recently reached the last eight of a national competition, the English Schools Cup, which attracts entrants from more than 1,000 schools nationwide.
They were unfortunate to lose their quarter-final, but made amends by beating Beths Grammar School from Bexley 2-1 in the Kent final at Corinthians FC.
It turned out to be a close match between two very good teams.
Kemnal took the lead through Jack Neal, but Beths equalised in the second half to set up extra-time.
There was little to separate the two sides in an entertaining game, but Kemnal showed great determination and sprit to eventually win the match with Harry Rushworth scoring the winning goal.
