DARTFORD manager Tony Burman says he was always confident his side would win the title after going on an epic run since November.
The all conquering Darts went on a 20-game unbeaten sequence after going down 2-1 to Bury Town on November 24, a string of results which propelled the Princes Park club to the top of the table.
Ironically, Dartford's prize was only confirmed after they lost 2-1 at Edgware on Saturday but nearest challengers AFC Sudbury also slipped up.
It was only their seventh defeat in a memorable campaign and sparked scenes of jubilation in north London from the large travelling contingent immediately afterwards.
Burman said: "I always felt we would go on and win it after going on the run we had up until Easter.
"I became even more convinced after we fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Potters Bar recently and it made me feel more convinced things were going for us.

"I'm absolutely delighted it has been confirmed, although it would have been nice to make sure by winning at Edgware instead of waiting to hear the Sudbury result at the end.
"Unfortunately Edgware scored with a great last minute shot, but these things happen and it didn't stop the celebrations afterwards.
"There are so many people around the town of Dartford who have been walking around feeling really happy this week and it is brilliant."
Dartford will begin a day of celebrations on Saturday at Princes Park when they sign off the campaign against Wingate & Finchley.
Burman's side will be welcomed onto the pitch by the successful under-13 side, with the youngsters also set to complete a lap of honour at half-time.
The trophy presentation will take place in the centre circle after the game and the squad will parade the trophy around the ground to the fans, who are being reminded by the club to stay off the pitch.
Burman said: "I'm really looking forward to it and nothing would please me more than to finish off with a win in front of what looks like being a massive crowd.
"I hope everybody who supports the club has enjoyed this season and I would like to thank them again for their backing."
Dartford have no injury or suspension worries for the Wingate & Finchley game.
