TONY Burman says there could still be new signings on the way to Princes Park before Monday's transfer deadline.
The boss has already drafted in former Darts midfielder Nick Barnes from Ashford and revealed up to two more fresh faces may be in the pipeline.
He said: "We've already strengthened the central midfield area by signing Nick because with Eddie McClements injured, we weren't strong enough there at the moment.
"Nick wanted to come back and the deal was done, but he isn't necessarily the only one who may join ahead of Monday.
"There could be another possible two to come in because if they are the right ones, I will take them."
Burman added: "It was something I didn't do last year and I'm determined to learn the lesson as nothing, either the championship or the play-offs, is guaranteed for us at the moment.

"Anything can happen injury wise and I want to make sure there is enough strength in all areas.
"I feel defensively we are quite solid, but it is possible we may need another forward player."
Although keen to bolster his squad, the Darts boss explained he wouldn't be giving in to any unrealistic demands from potential new recruits.
"We are talking to a few people, but they all want a guarantee of first-team football and I can't offer it," Burman said.
Easter's fixture double header certainly proved to be a worthwhile exercise for Burman's side with six points gleaned from the two fixtures against Ware and Canvey Island.
Saturday's 2-1 success against Ware was followed by a 1-0 Easter Monday success at Canvey, a pair of results which leave the Darts nine points clear at the top.
Burman said: "Ware was a big result for us because they are quite high up in the table and it was a must-win game for us.
"I was delighted to get three points and then to go to Canvey and pick up another result was fantastic for us.
"It helped winning on Saturday when we went to Canvey because it gave the players a bit of inner belief and it showed on the pitch."
Dartford are back at Princes Park this weekend when they entertain play-off chasing Brentwood on Saturday and the manager is taking nothing for granted if their earlier encounter is anything to go by.
He explained: "Jay May got sent off in the fifth minute and we played virtually all of the game with 10 men.
"They made life difficult for us on the day and the 2-2 draw was a useful point for us.
"Brentwood have got themselves back in the play-off positions and will come to our place and raise their game as all sides do when they play at Princes Park.
"We are taking nothing for granted but our players have a real desire to win every game and this will be the case again on Saturday.
Adam Flanagan returns after serving a two-match suspension, but there is still a question mark over McClements despite the player making good progress in his recovery.
