Ryan Royston scored Cray's dramatic late winner at Whyteleafe in Wednesday night's 4-3 win.
Whyteleafe 3 Cray Wanderers 4, Ryman Division One South, Wednesday 12.3.08, It was the late, late show as the Wands grabbed all three points thanks to an injury-time winning goal from defender Ryan Royston at Church Road.
This fixture had earlier been postponed three times due to bad weather, but for drama and thrills it was well worth waiting for.
Cray found themselves a goal down early on, but stormed into a 3-1 half time lead with a blitz of goals from Michael Power (2) and Ross Lover just before the interval.
In the second half the Wands let their opponents back into the game when they conceded two goals inside a minute to bring the score to 3-3.
Then came Royston's dramatic last-gasp winner to keep the Wands firmly in the frame for the play-offs at the end of the season.
Cray's unbeaten run of League games now stands at 23 as they prepare to travel to Sittingbourne for a big test against another play-off chasing side on Saturday (3pm).
