Whitstable Town 1 Cray Wanderers 1, Ryman Division One South, Saturday 1.3.08, Cray stretched their unbeaten League run to twenty games, but had to settle for a point after Whitstable netted a late equaliser.
In windy conditions on a bobbly surface Cray's attack and midfield didn't show their best, and it was their defenders who took most of the plaudits, including several good saves by 'keeper Glen Knight.
Central defenders Steve Aris and Mark Willy kept it tidy at the back when pressed by an improved Whitstable side who had lost three times against Cray earlier this season.
Aris also netted the goal that gave Cray the lead in the 19th minute, following a corner-kick.
But there was nothing that Cray could do to stop Ian Pulman's run-through to level the scores late on.
The Wands have another away fixture in Kent on Tuesday evening 4 March at Ashford Town (7.45pm).
