Walton Casuals 2 Cray Wanderers 2, Ryman Division One South, Saturday 2.2.08, Cray staged a dramatic comeback from two goals down to earn a point at Walton Casuals on Saturday.

Cray went into the game on a three month unbeaten record and with manager Ian Jenkins announced on Friday as Manager of the Month for January in the Ryman Division One South.

The jinx that often follows a Manager of the Month award seemed to be well and truly in force until goals by Colin Luckett and Lewis Wood salvaged a 2-2 draw for the Wands.

Cray's unbeaten run is now stretched to 17 games, with Whyteleafe their next opponents next Tuesday night 5 February at Church Road (7.45pm).

Cray goalkeeper Glen Knight collected the Golden Gloves award for January, thanks to the Wands having the best defensive record in Division One South for the month.

And there will be an exciting local derby for Cray and Bromley supporters to look forward to later this season, as the tenants meet the landlords at Hayes Lane in the semi-final of the Kent Senior Cup. The Cray v Bromley tie is to be played on a date to be arranged before 31 March. Ebbsfleet United meet Margate in the other semi-final.
