Weston-super-Mare 0-1 Bromley
BROMLEY returned home from Somerset on Saturday with a single goal victory, which almost condemned their hosts Weston-Super-Mare to certain relegation.
The result ensures neighbours Welling United will beat the drop, but it was not for the lack of trying by the home side.
On a very wet and windy afternoon it was the hosts who created the most chances throughout the 90 minutes after Ian Herring went close to opening the scoring in the second minute.
However, Bromley scored the only goal in the third minute when a cross from the right was touched on by Luke I'Anson and Jack Haverson, arriving at the far post, drove home from six yards.
In a typical end of season game, Jerrome Sobers was alive to a quickly taken free-kick from Lewis Powell and Dean Grobb sent a dipping free kick over the bar.

Just past the half hour mark, Mark McKeever crossed to the far post where Ashen Holgate skied over the bar from a good position.
An amazing piece of luck denied Weston the equaliser on 38 minutes.
Powell tried a snap shot which crashed back off the crossbar, hit Craig Holloway on the back before being the keeper smothered the effort at the foot of the post with the home side appealing that the ball had crossed the line.
Tutu Henriques sent a header against his own post one minute later.
As the half-time whistle loomed, McKeever turned in the penalty area to shoot through a crowd of players, which Holloway did well to save low down.
The second half was poor with neither side creating any worthwhile chances. McKeever put a free-kick wide of the Bromley post and Sobers dispossessed Wilfried Domoraud after the centre forward threatened before Powell shot straight at Holloway.
Bromley's first worthwhile effort on goal came in the 87th minute when substitute Theo Davis' shot was deflected over the bar and, two minutes later, Sam Wood should have at least tested the goalkeeper when he blazed over from the edge of the area.
