Bromley 3-1 Cambridge City
EASTER proved to be very successful for Bromley as they gained six points out of six with a hard fought victory over Cambridge City on Bank Holiday Monday at Hayes Lane.
In so doing they completed only their second double of the season, having won at Cambridge just before Christmas.
The visitors had the better of the opening exchanges and went close on 10 minutes when Matt Haniver flashed a low shot across the face of the goal.
Three minutes later, Lillies keeper Gareth I Williams spilled Ashley Fuller's fiercely struck shot.
Bromley went ahead against the run of play on 29 minutes with a well-worked goal.

Sam Wood fed Mark De Bolla, whose cross picked out Karl Beckford at the far post where the midfielder fired a low shot into the far corner.
On 35 minutes Williams saved from Lee Roache after defenders had allowed the ball to run.
Roache levelled the scores one minute later after outwitting Wood to crash an unstoppable volley past the goalkeeper.
Beckford put a 30-yard shot past the post and Wood did likewise from 25 yards.
Omari Coleman saw his well-struck header from Luke I'Anson's cross come crashing back off the crossbar as Bromley enjoyed their best spell of the game just before the interval.
Roache was in the action again on 45 minutes when his shot was palmed away by Williams.
The home side had the better of the exchanges after half-time and De Bolla saw his shot tipped around the post by Ashley Timms before the goalkeeper denied Gareth A Williams at the near post.
Bromley had plenty of possession, but were restricted to long range efforts which were generally wide or straight at the goalkeeper before they regained the lead on 70 minutes.
Gareth A Williams did well in a penetrating run and his final pass into the danger zone looped off a defender to substitute Nick McDonnell, who had a simple tap in from two yards out four minutes after replacing Simon Osborn.
Two minutes later, Coleman's power header from a corner sailed just over the bar.
Cambridge's goalkeeper was booked on 75 minutes for squirting his water bottle at spectators behind his goal after one of them had thrown the ball away after offering it to the goalkeeper.
Bromley had further chances to increase their lead as the game entered the final stages before they clinched the points on 88 minutes.
Bobby Bowry, who had replaced De Bolla two minutes earlier, sent a free-kick into the area.
It took a deflection to McDonnell who headed towards the post and Danny Hockton applied the finishing touch just five minutes after replacing Coleman.
McDonnell might have added to the scoreline in injury time, but a defender got back to block his goalbound shot.
