KENNY Jackett believes cracking the problem of Millwall's inconsistency is the best way of guaranteeing League One football at The Den.
The Lions remain deep in relegation trouble following Wednesday evening's 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town and although disappointed with the result, the manager claims there were enough positives to bode well for the future.
He told News Shopper: "Nobody wants to lose and it isn't something you enjoy, but I saw a lot of things which can turn into very good things for us.

"I see pace, touch and ability and if we can get our best side out on a consistent basis I think we can turn the corner and put the run of wins together we need.
"At the moment we are winning one and losing one and it is a frustrating time in terms of the consistency of results."
Jackett accepts the Lions are entering a crucial stage of the season and Millwall must put a winning run together quickly if they are to pull themselves clear of danger.
He said: "All of the things the fans see in terms of the number of games left and the league position, I see as well.
"In fact, nobody sees it more than me. It is a frustration, but I also feel we are in the process of building a new side.
"Sometimes a new side takes time to settle and I feel this has been the case at Millwall."
Saturday sees basement side Port Vale visit The Den and many will see it as a must-win game if Millwall are to survive.
However, the boss is refusing to treat this weekend's clash any differently from any other game.
He explained: "We want to win our next game and it happens to be Port Vale at home.
"After that it will be Luton and we are looking to put the type of run together we know we are capable of.
"Whatever the game is and whoever the opposition are, you are looking to win.
"There's three points on offer in every game and it is very important for us to capitalise on these opportunities."
The manager is also urging the fans to play their part on Saturday in cheering their side to three vital points.
Jackett said: "When we put good performances in, their passion is fantastic.
"It is part of the reason I came here because I want to be able to unlock that on a regular basis and see them getting right behind the side.
"The key to it is delivering those performances consistently, which is my job.
"When you deliver it right, they really get behind the side and it can snowball."
Millwall could be boosted by the return of Dave Martin from his groin injury, although there is a question mark over Dave Brammer (swollen knee).
Brammer didn't train today, but is expected to tomorrow and the manager will wait to see if there is any reaction before definitely ruling him in or out.
