George Saville’s first-minute goal was enough to extend Millwall’s unbeaten Championship run to 11 games and move them up to tenth in the league.

Here is how News Shopper rated Millwall's players...

Jordan Archer – 6 – Solid in everything he did, apart from a late corner that he dropped and nearly paid the full price.

Mahlon Romeo - 7 – One of his best performances of the season. Spent most of it in his own half, making crucial tackles, clearances, no more than when Sergi Canos’ strike came back off the post.

Shaun Hutchinson - 8 – What more can you possibly say about this man that hasn’t already been said. Faultless Jake Cooper - 7 – Made a wonderful interception in the second-half to stop Brentford from having a clean shot on goal and was superb throughout.

James Meredith - 7 – Another battling display and made a crucial goal-line clearance after Archer failed to claim a Brentford corner.

Jed Wallace - 8 – Another assist to his ever-growing tally as he headed through to George Saville for Millwall’s opener.

Shaun Williams – 7 – Frustrated at times and after a long period he looks to be finding his best form after another encouraging display and another 90 minutes under his belt.

George Saville – 8 – His remarkable season continues as he fired home his ninth Championship goal of the season inside the first minute, just as he did against Hull in midweek. Struck a post midway through the first-half, too. Used the ball excellently in midfield and made a few crucial interventions.

Ben Marshall – 7 – Didn’t have it all his own way going forward but helped Romeo out on more than one occasion defensively.

Steve Morison - 6 – Really struggled to get into the game, worked hard, but didn’t see much off the ball when a chance fell his way in the second-half he failed to convert.

Lee Gregory – 7 – Another excellent display from Millwall’s Mr Consistency. He closed down the Brentford defence to win the ball back for the first goal and set-up Saville when he hit the post. Chased every lost cause and didn’t give the visitors back-line a moments rest.
