Neil Harris says it is important Millwall gives their fans bragging rights after their 1-0 victory over Leeds United at the Den.

Aiden O’Brien struck 17 minutes from time to give the Lions their fourth consecutive home league win against the visitors.

Harris said: "We enjoy it because it's three points. We’ve played the team that are top of the league and have been the best team so far this season and beat them comprehensively.

"The fact Millwall versus Leeds is a rivalry based on previous seasons adds to it, of course it does. It builds the atmosphere in the ground, both sets of supporters look forward to it, and a lot is said in the press about it.

"It is important we give our fans bragging rights."

Millwall produced an excellent display at both ends of the pitch, reducing United to just one shot during the 90 minutes, and Harris was full of players for his players.

"They have very good individual players. They are really set up well and are hard to break down. They are very good on the counter-attack, [and] they score a lot of goals on the counter-attack.

"With Dallas [Stuart] and Roofe [Kemar], they have got some real ability in their group. You must defend well one against one and stop the service to those players, and you must nullify them having space, [and both the] time to get turned and run at you.

"It is hard work for the players, but I thought collectively we were excellent and both full-backs were outstanding."
