Millwall boss Neil Harris was happy with a draw but left frustrated after his side had to settle for a point against Bolton Wanderers at The Den.

Second-half substitute Felipe Morais denied Millwall their first victory of the season after he cancelled out George Saville’s first goal for the club on 62 minutes.

Harris said: “I thought we were the better team. We had most of the chances and got our noses in-front. Hutch slipped to give the foul away, if he does not slip, he heads it clear and the ball does not go into our net. But, what a great free-kick.

“I thought we controlled large parts of the game and we have not always been threatening in and around the six-yard box, but I thought we had spells in the second-half. Beevers heads one off the line and then blocks one on the line from Morison.”

Despite the result Harris is looking ahead to Tuesday’s game against Ipswich Town at The Den and is hoping that his players can take confidence from today’s performance.

He added: “I thought we looked a lot more dangerous, but disappointed not to win the game. That’s two games in a row where I think we have been the better team in this division and we have only got one point from it.

“However, saying that, I am really pleased for my players that we have got our first point on the board and look for forward to building on that momentum on Tuesday night.

“I am pleased with a point, but disappointed we have not got six points on the board.”
