Millwall’s Fred Onyedinma has committed his future to the Den with a new deal until 2020, the club has announced.

Onyedinma, 20, is an academy graduate who signed his first professional contract in November 2013 and made 54 appearances last season as the Lions won promotion to the Championship.

He scored six goals, including the winner against Southend United in a 1-0 victory in February.

“I love playing for this club and I am delighted to have signed a new deal here,” he said.

“The manager has always been great with me, right back to when he gave me my debut against Southend, and I am looking forward to improving under him further in the coming years.

“Now my focus is on continuing to work hard during pre-season so I can play as big a role as possible in the Championship for Millwall."
