Millwall boss Neil Harris says Fred Onyedinma will be staying with the club.

Onyedinma, whose contract expired at the beginning of the month, had been linked with moves away from the Den - with QPR understood to be interested.

But Millwall have managed to tie the 20-year-old midfielder down to a new deal.

Harris said: “It's really good news for the club. Talks have gone on for longer than we would have hoped.

“But throughout the entire process, Fred has shown a real desire to be at this football club.

“He sees his long-term future at Millwall and we are confident that if he continues to work as hard as he's always done, then he can continue to improve as a player and make a significant impact on the pitch for us.”

Onyedinma broke into the Millwall first-team when he was just 17 years old in January 2014.

And he made 54 appearances in the Lions’ 2016/17 promotion-winning League One season.
