Huddersfield manager David Wagner has hit back at former Millwall boss Ian Holloway.
The Terriers won promotion to the Premier League after beating Reading 4-3 on penalties in the Championship play-off final on Monday.
Wagner has worked wonders at the Yorkshire club, who Holloway tipped to go down before the start of the season.
Working as a Sky pundit at the time, he said: “I haven’t seen much progression from the club during the back end of last season.
“David Wagner is pretty inexperienced and if results turn, then they may struggle to turn things around.”

Holloway finished the second part of the season managing QPR, and felt the wrath of Huddersfield fans when Wagner’s side beat the Hoops 2-1 in February.
And the teasing from Terriers fans to Holloway will only increase following their historic promotion to England’s top tier.

Huddersfield players were filmed celebrating promotion in the changing room at full-time singing “There’s only one Ian Holloway!”
Speaking after their play-off final win, Wagner said: “By the way, Ian Holloway, all the best for next season. I know a lot of the pundits wrote us off at the start of the season.”
