Stuart McCall revealed he was close to ‘clocking’ a couple of Millwall fans who goaded him after the League One play-off final.
Steve Morison’s late goal at Wembley ensured the Lions secured promotion to the Championship.
The result was somewhat overshadowed by unsavoury scenes after the game as hundreds of Millwall fans stormed the pitch.
Some even confronted the Bradford players and McCall, who admitted it was ‘not a nice way’ for the game to end.
"I think Wembley have got to learn, they’ve got to learn now," McCall said after the 1-0 defeat.
"Everyone knew the fans were coming on, get a line [of stewards] at half-way.
"I don’t understand supporters wanting to come on, have a go at myself and my staff.
"I was close to clocking a couple. Where were they [the stewards] after the game?"
McCall added: "It happens all the time, it’s not just Millwall, stay in your own half, don’t start goading us.
"I’ve heard somewhere I was assaulted, I wasn’t physically assaulted. Verbally, yes, but that’s not a big deal. It’s not nice."
