Neil Harris hopes Millwall striker Lee Gregory is able to return to first-team training next week.

Gregory, 27, missed the 1-1 draw with Bradford on Saturday and has not been seen in a Millwall shirt since August 20.

Harris said: “He’s still recuperating. He’s still not up to speed so we will have to be hopeful that he recovers to be able to train later in the week.”

Despite Gregory’s absence, the Lions sealed a hard-fought 1-1 draw against League One high-flyers Bradford.

Defender Joe Martin cancelled out Byron Webster’s own goal to earn a share of the spoils.

Steve Morison appealed for a penalty shortly before the Bantams went ahead and Harris said the referee may have got that decision right.

The 39-year-old said: “I haven’t seen it and I’ve not been told it was handball so I presume he got that one right, out of the 257 decisions he made, maybe he got that one right.

“We weren’t at our best so I’m got no complaints.”

The Lions boss added: “We were reactive rather than proactive in the first-half. We didn’t get ourselves into position quick enough.

“We could have scored a couple of goals though to be fair and were very unfortunate with the own goal.

“In possession we were wasteful, it was slightly better in the second-half although we still didn’t reach our standards. If we were up to our standards we would have won.”
