Byron Webster has signed a new Millwall contract to keep him at the club until the summer of 2018.

The 29-year-old has made 66 appearances for the Lions since joining the club in 2014.

Webster was a key figure in the Millwall dressing room last season and told millwallfc.co.uk: “I’m really pleased.

“It was a very easy decision for me to make because I'm really enjoying my time here at Millwall.

“There is a great group of lads here and I'm looking forward to playing a part in what we all hope will be a successful season for the club.”

Meanwhile, manager Neil Harris said: “I'm delighted that we have been able to secure Byron's future with Millwall.

“He is a real leader on the pitch and inside the dressing room and is just the type of character and personality we want at this football club.

“Byron's performances last year were immense and he'll be looking to build on that level in the months ahead.”
